Many of our customers are ISO 9002 certified and demand high-quality aggregate.
We already knew back in 1995 that aggregate recovered from the North Sea was the cleanest and had the highest quality.
The aggregate we extract, certified A and M grade by state controlled Danish and German laboratories, is of such a high quality that it practically sells itself. Our experience shows that as soon as customers begin to use sea aggregate they never want to use any other kind.
The aggregate is extracted from the floor of the North Sea using chartered sub-sea mining ships, approximately 25 sea miles from Thyborøn. The aggregate is then shipped to Thyborøn Havn and pumped into our sorting facilities, where it is separated into standard 2-4, 4-8, 8-16 and 16-32 mm sizes, or into customer-specific sizes.
Our current customers include leading regional cement works, construction factories and paving factories.
The paving industry uses 2-4 mm sized aggregate. The production of pre-mixed concrete requires 4 mm sized aggregate and upwards. The manufacture of concrete elements requires special aggregate mixes.
We have in 2008 purchased a modern and highly efficient vibration sieve, made by Wolff in Flensborg. The equipment is specially designed for fast and efficient separation of sea aggregate. With a daily capacity of 6,000 tonnes it ensures extremely reliable delivery for our customers.
